Today, deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller as the special counsel to lead the “Trump-Russia” investigation. Now, the Democrats and the Far Left think that is collusion, even though none exist; and even more, many of the Democrats and Far Left were happy that a special counsel was appointed, thinking Trump will be impeached. However, the appointment of the special counsel does not mean anything in this case, as it will prove nothing ever happened.
Rosenstein released the following statement about the appointment,
In my capacity as acting Attorney General, I determined that it is in the public interest for me to exercise my authority and appoint a Special Counsel to assume responsibility for this matter. My decision is not a finding that crimes have been committed or that any prosecution is warranted. I have made no such determination. What I have determined is that based upon the unique circumstances, the public interest requires me to place this investigation under the authority of a person who exercises a degree of independence from the normal chain of command.
Now, if you look closely at the wording, phrasing, and reasoning behind the appointment, you will see that Rod Rosenstein believes that he must appoint such a special counsel because of public pressure. Even though no collusion and or evidence exists, as Rod Rosenstein probably knows, he knows this story about Russia won’t go away unless a special counsel is appointed. Rod Rosenstein probably knows no evidence of wrongdoing or collusion exists between Trump and Russia, but he still most likely wanted to stop the Fake News spewed by the Democrats and the Far Left. In other words, the appointment of the special counsel was only made to tell the critics of the Trump Administration to stop acting like idiots.
